Comedian and actor who starred in such popular 1990s comedies as and Dumber, Mask, Cable Guy, Liar and Ventura: Pet Detective. He also proved his range with his Golden Globe winning roles in Truman Show and on the Moon and for portraying Joel Barish in the inventive 2004 film Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
He did stand up comedy in local Toronto comedy clubs before moving to Los Angeles. In 1990, he began finding success as a cast member on the sketch comedy show Living Color.
In the early 2000s, he continued starring in mainstream comedy films, playing the Grinch in the Grinch Stole Christmas and Bruce Nolan in 2003’s Almighty.
